This is my first attempt at repairing an appliance on my own. Before ordering anything, I'd like to know how experienced buyers confirm they are selecting the correct replacement part.

My Whirlpool washing machine stopped draining at the end of the cycle, and the clothes came out heavy, wet, and sitting in water. I checked the drain hose first because I hoped it was only a clog. Then I cleaned the filter area and found some lint, but the washer still struggled. The pump made a rough sound, almost like it wanted to work but could not move water properly. I searched Appliance Parts 4 All by the number on the old pump and found the Whirlpool washing machine drain pump. The part I ordered was W10536347, a Whirlpool washing machine drain pump for removing water during the drain cycle. I liked that the listing showed it was in stock and identified it as a genuine OEM part. When it arrived, I unplugged the washer, pulled it out carefully, and prepared towels for the water left in the hose. The old pump came out without too much trouble, and the new pump fit correctly. After I installed it, I ran a drain and spin cycle with no clothes first. The washer pumped water out quickly, and the next laundry load finished normally. It was a good repair.
